EuroAquae is a Joint Degree programme from 5 European Universities: University of Nice - Sophia Antipolis (France), Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus (Germany), Budapest University of Technology and Economics (Hungary), Technical University of Catalonia (Spain), Newcastle University (United Kingdom). The EuroAquae consortium of these 5 universities awards a joint degree (MSc.) defined as a Master of Sciences in HydroInformatics & Water Management recognized by all five participating countries and carrying Erasmus Mundus label. Every successful participant is graduated simultaneously from the 5 European universities of the EuroAquae consortium.

Admission Criteria
Minimum qualification is 2nd class degree from university (BSc) or its equivalent. Preferred first degree subjects are Engineering (any branch), Environmental Sciences, Physics, Computer Sciences, Geography, Mathematics, Chemistry, Geology or a similar subject. Advanced level Mathematics is required. Teaching language is essentially English and TOEFL score of minimum 575 (or equivalent) is required. Basic knowledge of one of the other languages (German, French, Spanish, Hungarian) used by the consortium should be acquired. Evaluation of the level of scientific and engineering knowledge, as well as the level of English of each candidate is made by the EuroAquae consortium.
Selection Process
The selection of candidates is realised by the consortium Management Board and follows Erasmus Mundus rules, excellence of candidates, motivation and professional objectives according to the specializations of the Master.
Scholarships & Financial Support
EuroAquae / Euro Hydro-Informatics and Water Management - Erasmus Mundus Master Course offers about 15 scholarships for 2 academic years (2011-2013 - 48,000 Euros - Cat A students from third countries and 23,000 Euros - Cat B for EU students) to the students from outside of EU (Cat A students) as well as 8 scholarships to European Union students f(Cat B students) for mobility stays. EU participants are also supported by Erasmus and others national grants.
The tuition fees for the non EU granted students are fixed to 16,000 Euro for 2 years (4,000 Euro per semester for Cat A)
The tution fees for the EU granted students are fixed to 8,000 Euro (2,000 Euro per semester for Cat B).
For the non grated EU students, the tuitions fees are equivalent to the regular fees charged for the other master degrees (about 300 Euro per year). Accomodation and living expenses are not included.
The programme is also open to candidates who do not request financial support through Erasmus Mundus programme. For 15 European students, financial supports may be given.
Non EU students or "Third-country students" are defined as nationals coming from all countries other than the 27 EU Member States (Germany, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Spain, Finland, France, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Portugal, the UK, Sweden, Cyprus, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Slovenia,Bulgaria, Romania), the EEA-EFTA States (Island, Liechtenstein and Norway) and the candidate countries for accession to the EU (Turkey); who are not residents of any of the above countries; and who have not carried out their main activities (studies, work, etc.) for more than a total of 12 months over the last five years in any of the above countries.

Deadline for scholarship application category A for 2012-2014 round is open until 31st of January, 2012
Deadline for scholarship application category B for 2012-2014 round is open until 31 st of January, 2012.
Notification about acceptation as for scholarship will be given in May 2012.
Deadline for application by candidates without Erasmus Mundus Grant for 2012-2014 round is 15th of August, 2012.
Notification about acceptance will be given 1st of September 2012.
